This could quite easily be the 10 Commandments for Fanboys.
The Dreamcast is actually my favorite console of all time. One of the main reasons for that was that it got me back into playing video games (I skipped the Ps1/N64 days and only played them at family and friends houses). The Dreamcast was exactly what the name implied it brought to me at the time some of the most strange yet fantastic games. My first game for it was Legend of Kain: Soul Revear and to this day it's one of my favorite games of all time. The story and gameplay is great but it wa...
I have so much faith that god of war 3 is going to be kickass that i don't even have to make a list for what i want to see in the game. I'm pretty damn sure the third one will be epic.
I almost agree with this article. Though i think Haze should be changed to flop and Killzone 2 given a possiblity. Other than that i pretty much agree with you.
I agree with this list except i think Halo Wars will flop as well. I don't think it'll be that good of a game i don't think there have been any console rts's that have done really well. And attaching the Halo name to a rts won't change that fact i think. Other than that i agree with this list. I'm looking forward to Alan Wake and Ninja Gaiden 2 the most.
I would love to see this game hit the market eventually. I loved God of War and a game like Heartland from the sounds of it, i would deeply enjoy. I'm a big fan of Jaffe and Deus Ex is my second favorite video game of all time. You put both of them together and add in a deep moving story and i would love to see it come out.
I'm sure the online won't be as close to MGS4 as some people think it will. I think it'll be like modern multiplayer games of today with some Metal Gear charm to it.
Awwwwww, i do not like this news. Not at all. They better have in game XMB access out around the time MGS4 comes out, i'm getting a bit tired of waiting. I had to wait for PSN cards, rumble and now HOME a bit more than i should have had to wait. I don't want any hickups when HOME comes out either.
Has actually made me decide to switch my preorder over to special edition (i was pinching pennies before by getting going with the standard). I can't wait for MGS4 to hit.
Also it CONFIRMED Kojima next game will NOT be Wii-fit.
No biggie for me. It is a beta to test out the servers and get out some other flaws. This isn't a "sneak peak" per se as much as it is a performance and real setting stress test.
I had the same problem through most of today. What i did was use a different e-mail address all together. Then i had the same problemo with the password. The password has to be at least 8 letters but what i did was make a password and added a number to it at the end and it worked like a charm. I was ready to give up but that worked for me. I suggest you try it out.
I actually rather enjoyed the video. Sure you'll probably disagree with me but the video looked damned good in my opinion. The settings is dark-ish and the characters are also more mature themed which i like. Even if there isn't any fatalities in MK as long as there's enough blood in this game i'm down with it. It looks fun to me... Though i would like to cut off superman's head with Kung Lao's hat toss.
Don't really care, i'm sure the Ps3 won't be a broken mess compared to the 360 version. Even if the Ps3 does end up not as crisp sharp looking as the 360 version i won't have anything to compare it to or anything. What you don't know won't hurt you.
I actually wouldn't mind seeing this, i'm a long time MK fan and i was let down by the overall feel of the last few MK games have turned out. Though i do hope this isn't just "MK8" or whatever but more of a offshoot before the real new MK.
Actually resistance is done by sony (by Insomniac the same dudes that does Ratchet and Clank) they also paid for exclusive right for Haze and UT3. Remember last year at E3 they said they made a deal with both devs to get both of exclusive? So yeah i do think they are focusing on FPS's. In the same Vein MS is going after RPG's. Each company is going after what the other company did well last generation as far as game genres.
I was thinking the episodic content would be like Zero's missions in San Andreas. His missions were lengthy and rather hard (specially piloting that got damn RC helicopter). That in itself would be a pretty good amount of dlc for 1 episode not to mention the other one. I still doubt these claims of "New City" as in san andreas. Maybe a different part of town with a new person with some side jobs to do. But nothing more than that i'm guessing. Until i read a presser from Rockstar tha...
I liked the article a nice bit of satire mixed in with opinion. Good read and i agree with him on some points (IE: SONY shouldn't concentrate as much on shooters as they are doing now).
This is actually one of the reasons i like Gameplayer.au (even though i'm no aussie by any stretch) they are honest in their views. And dole out what they deem something that should be talked about and i like that about them.
Well all we've seen so far is the opening act/location of MGS4, Snake will go to other places. Maybe even a island where there's fresh vegetation where you can watch fruit grow in real time. Alright i was joking about the last thing but i'm sure the other locale's will be visually different from what we're seeing. Besides it's not about the graphics with MGS4 it's about story and gameplay.
I think some of the reasons was because like the article stated the dreamcast was a bit ahead of it's time with the online. Add to the fact that Ps1 was a big dominating console and people would move towards the next Playstation based on it's previous success. Unlike with Sega who unfortunately made bad decisions with add-ons and what it seemed like "Filler" systems just to get you buy for a little bit of time before the next best thing comes out. People lost faith i guess you can s...
